Riley's Farm

My Rylie's Kindergarten class had their first field trip today: they went to Riley's farm in beautiful Oak Glen, Ca. Rylie rode the bus (her first time) and Mom and Cali and some friends followed in the van. We made apple cider, played old-fashioned games, ate caramel apples, and learned how to use a loom. It was freezing cold and wet but lots of fun. The farm is my dream abode: beautiful colonial home in the mountains on an apple farm with a stream running thru the middle. (Notice how the fire last year came right up the the farm. Thank goodness it was spared.) They put on day camps, war reinactments, and some really cool events! Loved it there.

Rylie's class with Mrs. Hamblin - wonder if she is related to us somehow; will have to ask her.

It was a beautiful day!

  1. Looks like you had a lot of fun. What cute girls you have. Also, It's so weird to see Rylie on a school bus.
