Halloween Party #2

We crashed Mom and Dad's Ward Trunk-or-Treat tonight. This time Daddy and Cali came. See how cute our little woodland fairy is!!!

We always knew Noah was so smart - fitting he was an owl!!!

Julie and David were flight attendant and airplane pilot (Old-school style!) So cute!

Halloween, Party #1

I love Halloween but does it really need to last SOOOO long! We will be dressing up 3 nights this week! (Thats about average!) These pics are from our Ward's Trunk or Treat. Daddy and Cali stayed home.

The Zombie chef attacks Laura Ingalls!

Ellie has been reading Laura Ingalls for years and she asked her Grandma VanVleet to make her a pioneer costume this year. It is a beautiful costume and my beautiful little girl has a great role model in Laura Ingalls!

What??? A store bought costume??? Yes, I believe that is a first for this family! (It was too cute to not use!)

Cute Little Witch!

Justin (who has said he wants to be Chef when he grows up since he was a little kid!) wanted to be a Chef for Halloween. To make it scary he decided to be a zombified chef! No worries: The knife isn't real!!!

(The skelton costume is vintage! Mom made it for my brother Tyler when he was a kid - long enough ago to be considered "vintage"!!! Yep, we're that old!)

The following pictures feature the adorable garlands my Mom made me for my birthday. I LOVE them!

Cali's first ride in her new big-girl car seat! How did she grow up so fast?

Happy Halloween

I can't explain WHY I love Halloween so much - I just do. May have to do with the fact that Fall is my favorite time of the year. May have to do with the fact that my Mom always made Halloween so much fun for us as kids. I remember special Halloween dinners, dozens of wonderful hand-made costumes, and plenty of spooky decorations around the home. Mom still decorates for Halloween (she is an amazing decorator as you can see from the pics of her house), she still is making wonderful hand-made costumes - now for the grandkids, and last night we had an awesome spooky dinner. We sure are blessed to be so near to her. Thanks Mom for everything!

The Faas Family

We are so happy when we have visits from family!

And we are so sad to see them leave.
